Gennai Yanagisawa, a japanese man who developed the world’s smallest helicopter plans a flight demonstration in the city of Leonardo da Vinci, near Florence in Italy.
“The concept of my helicopter comes from Italy, and I’ve always wanted to fly it in da Vinci’s birthplace. I’m very excited“, said Gennai Yanagisawa
The GEN H-4 helicopter is developed with rotors, a chair, handle bar and footrest was designed by Yanagisawa in the late 1990s. It has four engines and two rotors for maintaining the stability. It has a top speed of 90 km/h, can fly about 30 minutes and climb up to 50 meters. The price of this helicopter is about $57,000 and Yanagisawa sold 5 by this time.
“I hope someday this can be used just like a scooter“, he said.
“Italian people seem to welcome my realizing of da Vinci’s idea in his birthplace. I want to make my best flight so that I can live up to their expectations.“, ended Yanagisawa.
The Guinness World Records confirmed Yanagisawa’s helicopter being the world’s smallest model in terms of weight and its 4 meters long rotor.
